THE GREATEST LACK

TEXT: MATTHEW 19:20-21

THEME: Full consecration is the greatest lack of Christians today.

INTRODUCTION:
“Following Christ” or full obedience is not a backward step or a detoured
way toward one’s doom. “Following Christ” must be continuous. It is not
an “up and down” experience. The greatest lack is the reluctance to follow
Christ till the end. Let us consider Christ’s instructions in order not to be
among those who are in this “GREATEST LACK”.

I. “GO” – THE FIRST STEP IN OBEDIENCE

A. There must be joyful obedience
“The young man went sorrowful.”
B. Go to the furtherance of the gospel.

II. “SELL” – THE SEPARATION FROM THJE FARMER’S HEART’S TREASURE.
(Material)

A. We must exchange the material to the spiritual treasures (moral).
B. We are ready to sacrifice all for Christ, “no more, no less”.

III. “GIVE” – THE GIVING OF OUR LIFE TO GOD.

A. We must fully consecrate our ALL AND ALL to God.
B. There is no getting back what we have given to God.

CONCLUSION:
Many are backsliding today because they have the GREATEST LACK
in their lives. They want to go on in satisfying the flesh, rather than
living a life pleasing in the sight of God consecrate fully young people
your all to God in order to experience the joy in living for Christ.

*** LIFE COMEST OUT OF DEATH *

TEXT: JOHN 12:24

THEME: A fruitful spiritual life is only possible through the death of self.

INTRODUCTION: The Christians always make Jesus Christ as their example in their spiritual life, His sacrificial death brought forth many sons of God. If He did not die on the cross He abides the Son of God alone. This truth is seen in the life of a fully consecrated child of God. God uses only those that are dead to self, fully sanctified and living a life of holiness. Apostle Paul followed the steps of our Lord. He said, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I but Christ liveth in me.” Only when we die to self could Christ live in our lives. Christ living in us will result in a fruitful spiritual life.

I. HUMILITY COMES FIRST BEFORE EXALTATION – “EXCEPT A CORN OF WHEAT

FALL ON THE GROUND.”

A. “Falling on the ground” means humility.

B. Humility or “poor in spirit” must be felt before one comes to God. (Matt.5:3)

C. In humility is promised exaltation. (Luke 18:14)

II. DEATH IS GOING FARTHER FROM HUMILITY – “A CORN OF WHEAT FALL ON

THE GROUND AND DIE.”

A. Christ as our example, humbled Himself, carried His cross and died on it. (Phil. 2:8)

B. Christ died to redeem sinful men. (Rom. 5:8)

III. DEATH TO SELF WILL BRING FORTH MUCH FRUIT.

A. Death to self is made possible in full sanctification.

B. In full consecration there springs forth the fruit of the spirit. (gal. 5:22-23)

C. Holiness in life and the fullness of the Holy Spirit will give power and strength that will result in bringing forth much fruit. (Acts 1:8)

CONCLUSION:

My beloved young people and brethren, the apostle Peter exhorts us in his epistle saying, “for even hereunto were ye called; because Christ also suffered for us, leaving His steps,” (I Peter 2:21). WIll Jesus carry His cross alone? Should we not also carry our crosses? Should we let our Lord to die alone? Shall we not also die for Him? YES, WE WILL! Let us all die to ourselves that Christ can live in us. Real life comes out of death… Amen!

FULL SALVATION (Sermon Outline)

FULL SALVATION

TEXT: I THESSALONIANS 5:15-24

THEME: The believer is fully saved if he is fully sanctified.

INTRODUCTION:

Evangelical salvation is salvation from sin. There are two classes of sin: the committed and the habitual sin and the sin as a principle in the heart of a man. The word sin which is “hamartia” in Greek denotes the act of disobedience and at the same time a condition or the state of the heart. Salvation is the deliverance from all sin, the habitual and the root of sin. If a believer is only justified and not fully sanctified he is considered as not fully saved yet. He needs the second work of grace of entire sanctification done in the heart through the agency of the Holy Spirit by purifying it from the carnal sin: when these works are accomplished in the life of a believer he is fully saved from sin. How can a believer or a child of God be fully sanctified?

I. FIRSTLY, ONE HAS TO BE SURE HE OR SHE IS REALLY JUSTIFIED AND EXPERIENCES THE REGENERATION (BORN AGAIN) OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

A. Repentance is fully done. (Isaiah 55:7)

B. Regeneration is experience in the heart. (Titus 3:4, 5)

C. By living Godly and righteously. (Titus 2:11, 12)

II. SECONDLY, ONE HAS TO WALK IN THE LIGHT OF THE WORD OF GOD. (I John 1:7)

A. There is a ready mind to obey what is required of a child of God upon Illumination of the WORD OF GOD.

B. There is an attitude of real love and fellowship with the children of God.

III. THIRDLY, EXERCISE THE NATURAL DUTIES OF THE CHILD OF GOD. (I Thess. 5:15-22)

A. Render not evil for evil, Rejoice evermore, Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks.

B. Quench not the spirit: despise not prophesying; prove all things, hold fast that which is good, abstain from all appearance of evil.

(NOTE: The approach to entire sanctification is the exercise of all Christian duties known.)

IV. FOURTHLY, CONSECRATE ENTIRE ONE’S PERSON AND ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD. (Rom. 12:1)

A. Consecration of self is the natural requirement of God from His child.

B. Consecrate to God what He has given you.

V. FIFTHLY, HAVE FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF CHRIST (ATONEMENT) AS THE GROUND OF FULL SANCTIFICATION. (I John 1:7)

A. After fully consecrating one’s self, believe that the work is done in the heart.

B. The altar sanctifies the gift. (Ex.29:37; Matt.23:19)

CONCLUSION:

Entire sanctification gives us holiness in the heart. In regeneration the holy life begins. In full sanctification holiness is completed in the life or soul of the child of God. There is power in living for God in full sanctification. Entire sanctification is full-salvation from sin.
